Please note that employment with EMS Consulting Services and our affiliates are for no specified time period and constitutes a "at will" employment opportunity. EMS Consulting Services and our affiliates are currently accepting applications for Per Diem EMT-Basic.
The position requires an experienced, responsible person who is willing to work with both career and volunteer staff. Qualified applicants may have
the opportunity for a in-person interview. Candidates must pass a basic certification examination and drug test.
CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS are mandatory for employment.
Minimum 2 years of "in the field" 9-1-1 EMS experience and Per-Diem's must be able to submit a minimum availability of eight (8) shifts per month, of which, two (2) must be weekends shifts preferred.
Required Certifications
Current NJ EMT-B, NJ MICP, NREMT-B, or other certifications accepted by NJ DHSS OEMS
Current AHA, NSC or ARC Professional Rescuer Level CPR
ICS 100, ICS-200, NIMS-700, IS-800, CEVO/EVOC, ITLS or PHTLS
Qualifications
Minimum of two years active pre-hospital 9-1-1 EMS experience preferred
Valid driver license
High school diploma, or it's equivalent
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
Ability to lift and carry at least 200 pounds with assistance
Basic computer use with simple data entry (emsCharts)
Proficiency in operating emergency vehicles and related equipment
Thorough knowledge of the principles, techniques, and protocols contained in the NJ EMT-B curriculum.
